Former MSNBC host Ed Schultz was pretty happy on Tuesday to dance on the political grave of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), calling the former presidential candidate a “freaking loser” and saying he lacked the intelligence to be President.
Walker dropped out of the 2016 GOP race Monday evening and encouraged other Republican candidates to do the same to derail the party’s frontrunner, Donald Trump.
Schultz, who was once suspended at MSNBC for calling conservative radio host Laura Ingraham a “right wing slut,” used his podcast on Tuesday to focus on Walker’s failed candidacy.
“What we have learned from Scott Walker throughout all of these months is that you can do a hell of a lot with an ego,” Schultz said.
“The guy’s a freaking loser,” he said. “I feel vindicated. I knew along that attacking workers, attacking unions, and taking things away from hard working families is not a pathway to the future.”
Schultz said Walker dropping out was good news for Republicans because “all he was doing was getting in the way.”
Schultz also said Walker lacked the intelligence and academic credentials to be President.
“He has no idea. He’s never had any ideas, and his ego was as big as Asia,” Schultz said. “We all knew this was going to happen. We just didn’t know it was going to happen this fast.”

Love Ed. Would love to know the MSNBC back story, have heard Tweety mention him a couple of times in what seemed a less than positive manner.
Ed has been in the trenches fighting to rid WI of Walker since day one. Enjoy a very long moment in the sun, buddy. You sure as hell deserve it.
I don’t think there is one. Ed was part of the massacre that occurred a couple months back when they got rid of Alex Wagner, Joy Ann Reid, The Cycle, and moved Al Sharpton to Sunday mornings. I doubt there’s any ill will. Matthews smiled and remarked the other day that Ed Schultz must be dancing in the streets.
You’ve got to take your victories where ever you can find them. This IS a victory.
I said it earlier but I think it is true - Scott Walker was enough of a yes-man to the Koch brothers that they gave him a chance and because they supported him it gave him a lot of clout among the punditry. In reality Walker is pretty much as stupid as you would think he is by looking at him and while he has capitalized on riding the right wing in Wisconsin he doesn’t have the brains to translate that to a national stage.
Alas, Walker is still very much in Wisconsin.
And should he decide not to seek re-election, his lite guv is about as dreadful as he is.
Meanwhile, the WI D’s don’t look ready for prime time.
I disagree.
Walker offered the GOP ticket solid military and foreign-policy credentials as head of the Wisconsin National Guard.
