Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) has cofounded a law firm to defend gun owners and the price is hard to beat.

Cuccinelli and three other founding partners have started Virginia Self Defense Law, a firm focused primarily on cases involving Second Amendment Rights. Representation by the firm is less than $10 per month.

“Even lawful use of your firearm could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees. Protecting your own life shouldn’t cost you your life savings,” the firm’s website read. “A legal retainer with Virginia Self Defense Law costs as little as $8.33 a month – less than half the cost of a hunting license. Don’t be a victim!”

According to The Washington Post, the firm aims to represent clients who are facing gun charges based on acting in self defense. The firm also will represent people who have been “harassed by law enforcement for lawfully carrying their weapon.”

The tagline for the firm is “defending those who defend themselves.”

Gun control was one of the primary issues of the last Virginia gubernatorial election, when Cuccinelli was the Republican nominee. The National Rifle Association gave Cuccinelli an “A” rating. Meanwhile pro-gun control groups like Mayors Against Illegal Guns and former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’s (D-AZ) Americans for Responsible Solutions also waded into the race supporting now-Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D).
