Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a new TV ad Tuesday responding to Donald Trump’s spot capitalizing on Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment.
The 60-second spot, titled “Low Opinion,” opens with Trump’s Monday charge that Clinton “can’t lead this nation if you have such a low opinion for its citizens.”
“What’s Donald’s opinion of our citizens?” the ad asks before running through a laundry list of inflammatory remarks the GOP nominee has made over the course of his campaign.
It highlights his comments mocking a disabled reporter, his attacks on the Khan family and his comments about women.
The Trump campaign had released a new ad on Monday blasting Clinton’s comment that that “half of Trump supporters” can be put in the “basket of deplorables.” Clinton later revised her statement, saying that she regrets assigning the designation to “half” of them.
The “Low Opinion” ad will run on national cable, according to the Clinton campaign, which has reserved $77 million for September and October TV ad buys.

Brilliant!
This is the type of approach HRC and the DNC need to double down on.
It’s not just the presidency, but Senate control and down-ballot races that are at stake here.
Great ad. Describes each and every Republican. More like that please.
Trump and his most ardent followers walked right into her trap. They’ll spend the rest of the campaign explaining how they’re not racist hate-mongers and we all know, when you’re explaining - you’re losing.
Love it.
Bravo. Well done.
Can’t do much better than that. All of yesterday I was wondering while Donald was lashing out at Hillary, if he ever looks in the mirror.
Maybe not…getting blinded by orange isn’t fun.
