Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he has no regrets about launching repeated attacks on the parents of a deceased Muslim American soldier who spoke at the Democratic convention.

“I don’t regret anything. I said nice things about the son, and I feel that very strongly,” he told Washington, D.C., television station WJLA. “But of course I was hit very hard from the stage, and you know it’s just one of those things, but no, I don’t regret anything.”

Despite criticism from Democrats, Republicans, and his own campaign surrogates, Trump has refused to apologize for lashing out at the Khan family.
