Bill O’Reilly took Bill Maher’s side in the HBO host’s argument over Islam with actor Ben Affleck during Monday night’s “The O’Reilly Factor.”

“Mr. Maher is correct on the overall effect Islam is having on the world right now,” O’Reilly said. “The truth is militant Islam continues to drive worldwide terrorism and have plenty of sanctuaries from which to commit their evil.”

“Ben Affleck should well understand that he himself would be beheaded in a heartbeat by these ISIS animals,” he continued.

Maher had hosted Affleck and author Sam Harris Friday on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” for a discussion of Islam. Maher stated his belief that Islam doesn’t practice liberal principles. Harris agreed and added, “Islam, at the moment, is the motherlode of bad ideas.”

Affleck was outraged by their comments.

“It’s gross, it’s racist,” he said.

  1. Affleck wasn’t talking specifically about ISIL. O’Reilly’s statement is an attack on a fabricated point.

    Fox News.

  2. Mr. Maher Dr. Chomsky is correct on the overall effect Islam hegemonic Judeo-Christian corporate facsism is having on the world right now,” O’Reilly Trippin said. “The truth is militant Islam hegemonic Judeo-Christian corporate facsism continues to drive worldwide terrorism and have plenty of sanctuaries from which to commit their evil.”

  3. Obviously O’Reilly didn’t watch Affleck. I think he understands ISIL is crazy. Ben was talking about Maher’s attack on all 1.5 billion muslims.

  4. It’s also funny to see that between the lines, O’Reilly makes some statements that would seem to side with Affleck to a degree. Using devices like “sure, there are some exceptions to the rule…” and “well, not all…”. How disingenuous. And hey, maybe if Fox News aired segments that actually showed members of Islam condemning violence, instead of their strict “Always make Muslims look bad” policy, there may actually be a different perception?

  5. Fox News makes me feel like I’m still trapped in high school with dumb violent cowards.
