Real estate mogul Donald Trump held a strong lead in the Republican presidential field in New Hampshire and was statistically tied for the lead in Iowa, according to two polls released Sunday.
The NBC News/Marist Poll showed Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with a narrow lead among GOP voters in Iowa, but that was within 5.3 percent margin of error.
Walker and Bush were the only Republican candidates besides Trump who polled at double digits in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
In Iowa, Walker polled at 19 percent, followed by Trump at 17 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 12 percent. Initially a long-shot candidate, Trump has consistently led internal party polls.
In New Hampshire, Trump earned the support of more than one in five of potential Republican voters at 21 percent. Bush polled at 14 percent and Walker at 12 percent.
No other candidate in the crowded Republican field polled at double digits, but multiple candidates polled under 1 percent in both states.
The New Hampshire poll was conducted with 1,037 voters – 401 of whom were potential Republican primary voters – in English by landline from July 14 to 21. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percent overall or plus or minus 4.9 percent for Republicans.
The Iowa poll was conducted with 1,042 voters – 342 of whom were potential Republican primary voters – in English by landline from July 14 to 21. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 percent overall or plus or minus 5.3 percent for Republicans.

So Republicans in NH are crazier than Republicans in IA? I do hope Trump outpaces Walker in IA - Walker has bet the farm on that one and watching him lose would be great!
Trump is wonderful to watch. He is like a wreaking ball, demolishing the Republican party every time he opens his mouth. Every prediction made about Trumps demise have been wrong. Go for the GOLD Trump…take the nomination, bury the GOP for once and for all.
BTW: Great news about taking Walker down a few pegs. Keep up the good work.
I agree. Without Iowa Walker is a dead man walking, politically speaking. If Trump can do that to Walker with a couple sentences can you imagine what he can do with a a couple paragraphs? Go, Trump, Go.
Ya know, Obama’s right; all of this GOP, Very Silly Party, flapdoodle bullshit is just sad as one after another of these Republican kakistrocrats [man, I love that word] attempts to outdo each other in a tit for tat exchange of batshit crazy pronouncements. I’m quickly becoming inured. At this point, it wouldn’t even register so much as wry smile if Trump or Cruz showed up at an event dressed in a rubber duck suit and shot live weasels from a compression cannon into the audience while singing “The Horst Wesell Song”
I really need to re-think my atheism. There may be a god after all.
