Trump Leads, But McMullin Gains Ground In Monmouth Utah Poll

Donald Trump comes out ahead of Hillary Clinton by six points in the latest Utah poll from Monmouth University, with a slight gain for Independent candidate Evan McMullin.

Trump leads among likely Utah voters, 37-31, with McMullin following at 24 percent, Libertarian Gary Johnson at 4 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 1 percent.

Monmouth’s previous poll of Utah, taken in October, also put the businessman six points ahead of Clinton, 34-28.

McMullin, the independent conservative candidate, made a four-point gain between Monmouth polls, moving from 20 percent in October to 24 percent today.

The Monmouth University poll was conducted via live telephone interview from Oct. 30-Nov. 2 among 402 likely Utah voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.
