Democratic challenger Deborah Ross holds a single-point advantage over Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) in a new Elon University poll of the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina.
Ross, a former state representative, leads Burr 44-43 among likely voters, with Libertarian candidate Sean Haugh polling at 4 percent.
The senate race results are the same as they were when Elon University polled North Carolina likely voters last month, with Ross ahead of Burr 44-43, and Haugh at 4 percent.
The Elon University poll was conducted Sept. 27-30 among 660 likely North Carolina voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.81 percent.
