Rep. Joe Heck (R-NV) comes out three points ahead of Democratic candidate Catherine Cortez Masto in a new poll from Suffolk University of the race to fill Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-NV) seat in the U.S. Senate.

Heck leads Cortez Masto, 38-35, with Independent American Tom Jones, non-party candidates Tony Gumino and Thomas Sawyer polling at 1 percent and non-party candidate Jarrod Williams polling with less than one percent.

The majority-party candidates were tied at 37 percent last month in a previous poll from Suffolk University, with Jones, Gumina and Sawyer at 1 percent and Williams at less than one percent.

The Suffolk University poll was conducted Sept. 27-29 among 500 likely Nevada voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the U.S. Senate election in Nevada shows Heck leading Cortez Masto, 37.5 to 34.4.
