Hillary Clinton holds a small two-point lead over Donald Trump in a head-to-head race in Colorado, according to a new poll from CNN/ORC.
The Democratic candidate leads, 49-47, in the two-way poll of Colorado likely voters, but Trump takes a one-point lead, 42-41, when third party candidates are included. In that poll, Libertarian Gary Johnson polls at 13 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein follows at 3 percent.
CNN/ORC has not previously polled the Colorado presidential race, but a Quinnipiac poll released last week showed the two candidates tied at 47 percent among likely Colorado voters in the head-to-head race. In the four-way race, Clinton led, 44-42, with Johnson at 10 percent and Stein at 2 percent.
The CNN/ORC poll was conducted via telephone interview from Sept. 20-25 among 784 likely Colorado voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.
TPM’s PollTracker Average for the general election in Colorado shows a tossup, with Clinton leading Trump, 44.6 to 43.3.
