CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE - NOVEMBER 04: U.S. President Donald Trump waves during a campaign rally for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and other Tennessee Republican candidates at the McKenzie Arena November 4, 2018 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Blackburn, who represents Tennessee's 7th Congressional district in the U.S. House, is running in a tight race against Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen, a former governor of Tennessee. The two are competing to fill the Senate seat left open by Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), who opted to not seek reelection. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images) MORE LESS

The Washington Examiner’s official Twitter account tweeted on Monday that it was “hacked” after a tweet claiming “Trump is going to hell” was posted to its account early Monday morning.

The tweet went out around 5 a.m. EST and was deleted by 7 a.m. It claimed Trump was going to hell because the Bible is clear on its opinion of “rich adulterers.” The tweet also criticized the Examiner for “promoting ‘Trump and God.'”
