President Donald Trump on Thursday stood by his threat to shut down the government over funding for his border wall.
“Any measure that funds the government must include border security — has to,” Trump said at a signing ceremony for the farm bill, adding: “We have no choice.”
Before moving on, Trump referred to congressional Republican leadership: “We’ll be working on that — Mitch and Paul and Kevin and everybody — and we’ll see what we can do. But hopefully that’ll all come together.”

There is the other consideration. If he doesn’t get the 5B he goes down in utter ignominy, total humiliation, complete irrelevance, abject failure, massive mortification and defeat. I wonder if that figures in? Could it possibly be just about him? A 5B face saving job?
Trump probably thinks this shows his resolve, but every time he changes his mind is more proof of his spinelessness.
