President Trump tweeted Wednesday that “nothing changes from the Mueller Report” after special counsel Robert Mueller made a rare public appearance to announce his resignation and put a bow on his two-year investigation.

As he wrote in the report, Mueller said Wednesday that Trump couldn’t be charged.

“If we had had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mueller said, adding, “under long-standing department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office.”
