WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is attacking House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi over her criticism of his decision to publicly brand MS-13 gang members “animals” during a White House meeting on immigration last week.
Trump says: “Just the other day, Nancy Pelosi came out in favor of MS-13. … She wants them to be treated with respect.” He is speaking at the Susan B. Anthony List’s annual Campaign for Life Gala.
Pelosi did not endorse the gang, but took aim at Trump’s rhetoric, saying, “Calling people animals is not a good thing.”
She added that “we all have to recognize that as we respect the dignity and worth of every person.”
Tuesday night, Pelosi responded on Twitter: “Tough talk from a man separating innocent children from their parents.”
Pelosi threading a needle here. This will be lost in the wind machine.
I watched the video. Donald called all immigrants animals. Donald implies that if a person is not pure white or orange they are a lower species.
Judging by the recent spate of Republican memes that are spreading around Facebook, etc., all the Trump sycophants are following suit. Most of them are saying, without apology, the Dems are for terrorists, MS-13 and overrun borders.
Please. It’s not as if I going around saying that Repblicans support mass murderers, dead children in school hallways, Nazis, skinheads and pedophiles. That would be hitting below the belt. I’m above such namecalling.
My mistake. I shouldn’t have put pedophiles in there. What was I thinking? It should have read adulterers.
