President Donald Trump has, in typical fashion, doubled down on his criticism of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) Monday morning, now throwing Rep. Al Sharpton into the mix.

On Cummings (a sample, as there are too many to include):

On Sharpton:

Sharpton quickly fired back.

Sharpton also called in to “Morning Joe,” saying that “[Trump’s] going to attack the most visible black person that comes across his desk and he thinks can set a tone. I’m not going to bite the bait.”

The reverend was already headed to Baltimore to participate in an economic conference, though he has now tacked on a presser with former RNC chairman Michael Steele to address Trump’s comments from the weekend.

Who’s running the betting pool on when his first tweet with the n-word hits? I had thought he’d wait until closer to the election, but with the way this is accelerating, now I’m thinking he won’t make it past the summer recess period.

  2. Gee, one would think that Donnie is compulsive in his self-righteous hatred…

  3. Everybody is always apologizing to Trump in secret, telling them in private that they love him (Sir alert!) while in public they hate his guts. Funny thing, that.

The charitable read, assuming Trump was telling the truth (lol), would be that Trump is so unpopular that many people of note are not willing to be seen in public with him. That’s the good version. Sad!!

What’s next for Donnie ‘The Grand Wizard’ tRump, a cross burning ceremony on the White House lawn? Would the MSM then be brave enough to call it racism?

  5. What are the chances the President of the United States will be saved from the third-rail That Word by something so mundane as autocorrect? Substantially above zero, right?

Sweet Meteor of Death, have mercy on me.
