Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey is using his latest TV ads to hit Democrat Joe Sestak anew over his support for the 2008 financial bailouts, and to opine on the country’s future against the backdrop of a newborn baby.

The two ads, both 30-second spots unveiled Tuesday, are running on broadcast and cable networks for what the campaign said would be an indefinite period of time. They come as Toomey’s campaign has mostly dominated the airwaves in the first few months following the May primary, thanks to the financial advantage Toomey enjoyed from avoiding a tough primary and an infusion of ad buys from independent groups supporting his candidacy.

Toomey’s campaign has now aired no fewer than eight of its own TV commercials since the primary. Sestak, meanwhile, made his first ad buy late last month.

In the first ad, embedded below, Toomey says working as a small businessman after his early employment in the financial sector taught him that “Wall Street’s the last place that should ever get a taxpayer bailout.”

In the second ad, embedded below, Toomey talks about the birth of his third child. “There’s really nothing like the wonder of a new baby to focus your attention on the future,” Toomey says.

The ads will be fact-checked later as part of pa2010.com‘s new AD WATCH feature.
