A video replete with a soaring score, gritty b-roll and cinematic voice-overs celebrating House Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) legacy on tax reform is being promoted Monday on the official government speaker’s website as well as Ryan’s Twitter.
The “teaser trailer” precedes a full six-part series called “Decades in the Making” to be released Tuesday.
“It was political suicide,” the blue-eyed Wisconsinite sighs as the orchestral soundtrack swells.
Other talking heads, including former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), punctuate the minute-long trailer, bemoaning how hard it is to get a big legislative achievement and how persistent Ryan was.
It is unclear who produced the glossy videos; a Ryan spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
