At 8:05 PM on Tuesday March 8, 2016, with 0% of the polls reporting…Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic primary race in Mississippi!! Go figure… Kind of weird. Anyway, take a bow Hillary, and would somebody explain to me how they do that.
Posted this in another thread. This win is hardly a shock, but it looks to be a huge win which will be aided by her taking nearly 90% of the vote among African-Americans, who made up about 60% of Democratic primary voters in Mississippi.
But the early exit polls also have her winning the white vote by a nearly 2-1 margin. The question now in the MS race, will be whether Sanders can reach 15 percent statewide to win any of the eight at-large delegates.
Curious…I don’t see a byline on TPM in EIGHTY-POINT TYPE proclaiming “CLINTON CRUSHES SANDERS IN MISSISSIPPI BY SIXTY-FIVE POINTS”.
