Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta’s chief of staff is getting the axe after DOL staffers complained about his behavior, according to Tuesday reports from Axios and Politico.

A White House investigation found that Acosta’s top aide, Nick Geale, had created a difficult work environment in the department. Ex-Trump administration officials tell Politico that Geale was prone to screaming fits of rage and “goes completely loony.”

“Nick came into my office screaming and yelling and throwing papers on my desk,” one former official said. “He’s abusive, he’s abrasive, he tries to be intimidating, he’s condescending.”

According to the official, Acosta didn’t do anything to stop Geale’s behavior.

However, it seems like it wasn’t just Geale’s temper that got him fired. According to Axios, the White House felt that he didn’t push hard enough for deregulation and union crackdowns.

Geale is set to leave on May 31, Axios reports.

  3. Wow the DOL is just like any other business in America, they had that one guy who makes everyone else nuts.

And is it the Agency’s Secretary that is suppose to work on legislative matters? Maybe if Trump’s WH had someone to work on legislative matters with Congress…I guess they fell short.

    Yelling at subordinates, okay.

Failing to drown the government in the bathtub, not okay.

  5. Your OneWordAnswer™: Never.

Epstein’s list of who fucked whom is apparently so long that it’s the one area of bipartisanship left to ensure that that stuff never becomes public.
