Rep.-elect Luke Letlow (R-LA) on Wednesday was transferred to an intensive care unit to continue treatment for COVID-19.

Last Friday, Letlow announced he tested positive for COVID-19 and initially quarantined at his home.

The next day, Letlow was admitted to St. Francis Medical Center before being transferred over to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center late Tuesday night.

Letlow representative Andrew Bautsch Bautsch did not specify details on Letlow’s condition in the statement.

LSU Health Sciences Center Chancellor G.E. Ghali said that Letlow is in stable condition in the ICU, where he is receiving the antiviral drug Remdesivir and steroids — both of which President Trump was treated with when he was hospitalized for COVID-19 at Walter Reed Medical Center in October.
