Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was finally taken off the TV bench Monday morning, appearing on “Fox and Friends” to discuss Attorney General William Barr’s summary of the Mueller report.
After crowing about “total exoneration” for many minutes, he seemed to segue into a conspiracy theory about why there was any investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia at all.
“The reality is, the question now is, if there was no evidence of collusion, three investigations, no evidence of collusion — who made it up? It had to come from somewhere,” he said. “It didn’t just come out of thin air. I want to know who did it, who paid for it, who fueled it. Because the person who did it and the group that did it knows it’s untrue because they invented it.”
It is unclear what Giuliani means here, since the probe was catalyzed by many factors, including some of President Donald Trump’s own public statements.

I’m torn between hoping Trump overreaches and fearing that the overreach will simply succeed, like all of his overreaches to date.
Their compulsive overreach will bring them down yet.
“Deep State” stuff. Nothing new here.
Oh Rudy, Rudy, Rudy…
I’ve missed you.
I think we all know where this is heading so far as those convicted of crimes in this investigation. Trump is going to cement in his own mind EVERYTHING that resulted from the Mueller investigation is fruit from the poisoned tree and go on a pardon spree. How can he reconcile being let off the hook without also thinking others similarly deserve being freed of sanctions? He’ll have people from every single corner of Wingnuttia egging him on, and he’ll view it as the ultimate eff you to do it.
Should be interesting.
