LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hillary Clinton is taking a detour from big-dollar fundraising in California this weekend to pitch her plans to raise the federal minimum wage and refresh her criticism of rival Bernie Sanders.

The former first lady told a cheering crowd at a Los Angeles college Saturday that if elected she would push Congress to lift the $7.25-an-hour federal base wage.

She says she also would push for stronger background checks for gun buyers and charges that Sanders favors the gun lobby.

Clinton was attending a pair of big-ticket fundraisers this weekend with actor George Clooney, with some tickets costing six figures.

Sanders’ campaign is running an ad in California contrasting his average donation — $27 — with Clinton’s fundraising.

California’s primary is June 7.

  1. Clinton should just start running ads about how much she has raised for fellow Democrats who will be needed for the revolution in comparison to what Sanders has raised. What a weasel he is… bragging over and over about how much he has raised and doing nothing to actually get the Revolution that he promised going. I inherently dislike self-centered people and when we are talking about presidential candidates you have a pretty high bar to reach on that one and Sanders has hurtled over it.

Go girl, Berningman is completely unadaptable. Crushing Cruz and Terrorizing Trump are where it’s at.

  3. You’re talking about all the money she raises from cooperate donations? You know - the legal corruption. I don’t think he should advertise that.

  4. No…I’d say that “legal corruption” is walking around in all the Republican controlled governments. You may have voted for it.
All candidates need a ton of money to compete and if Clinton gets some donations from corporate sources you can bet that Republicans get a whole lot more from the same source.

  5. No actually I’m talking about fundraisers like the Clooney one where individuals donated the max amount to all of the State parties that participated in Clinton’s fundraising plan.
