Markopolos: SEC Was “Captive Regulator”

Markopolos identifies another problem with the SEC:

“They were a captive regulator. Mr. Madoff was too big,” he just told Congress. “They looked at Madoff and said: ‘he’s a big firm, we dont attack big firms.'”
