Down in Florida, Jack Abramoff’s business partner Adam Kidan has finally come out with his version of what happened to Gus Boulis. Boulis, who sold SunCruz, his casino boat company, to Abramoff and Kidan, was gunned down in a mob style hit in 2001.

There’s long been suspicion that Kidan had something to do with Boulis’ death. Two of the three men (pictured above) who were ultimately arrested for the murder were on SunCruz’s payroll. And by the time of Boulis’ death, the deal between Boulis and Kidan/Abramoff had grown contentious.

Well, The Sun Sentinel reports today that Kidan has told detectives that he knew of the killing, but only after it was accomplished:

Kidan has known [Anthony “Big Tony”] Moscatiello for more than a decade. He brought him down to Florida from Howard Beach, N.Y., in late 2000 because he wanted Moscatiello to determine if Boulis was “connected” to the Mafia. Within a span of weeks, he was paying thousands of dollars for security to Moscatiello and [Anthony “Little Tony”] Ferrari, who claimed to be Gotti’s nephew, he said.

Ferrari claimed he needed the money for surveillance equipment, but Kidan said he believed Ferrari was using him. Kidan said that he told Ferrari he was done dealing with him after Ferrari failed to deliver alleged phone recordings of some of Boulis’ conversations. Within just a few days, Boulis was killed.

Kidan said that after Moscatiello confided in him, Ferrari came to his home and demanded they talk out on the patio.”He (Ferrari) said, `This happened. We have no choice it happened and now you’re involved in it. If it ever comes down to it, I’m going to say you paid us…Don’t screw with me or I’ll kill you. I’ll kill you. I’ll kill your family,'” Kidan said.

Kidan says he believes the triggerman was John Gurino, a Gotti associate who was murdered in 2003.
