Are congressional Republicans starting to get testy with the Bush administration?

The House Government Reform Committee on Friday issued a subpoena to force Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to supply documents to the panel. I can’t recall such a thing happening before.

At issue is the case of a whistleblower who reported abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison. Army Specialist Samuel Provance says after he raised concerns with higher-ups, he had his security clearance pulled and was threatened with other retaliatory acts. Committee members have reportedly tried for months to get answers from the Pentagon, to no avail.
