Fox News has called the Republican Virginia primary for Donald Trump. Other networks were still maintaining the race was too close to call at 8:30 p.m. between Trump and Sen. Marco Rubio.
A win for Rubio could help him fight back against attacks that he has yet to break out in the Republican primary. While Cruz has won a state, Rubio had not after a slew of early contests.
According to MSNBC, Rubio was performing well among moderates in Virginia while Trump was still holding strong among the most conservative voters in the state.
Heading into the election, Rubio was projected to be several points behind Trump. The TPM PollTracker Average showed Trump leading Rubio 37.3 percent to 26.3 percent.
With Carnival Cruz in third place yet again.
Kasich will hold on for Ohio, but what is driving Carson? It can’t just be financing. He’s gonna be so far behind after tonight, he won’t even show up in the rear view mirror.
I understand Cruz and Trump want Rubio out, although that looks less likely, depending on VA. What is holding Dr. Ben in the race anymore - he’s not even a blip?
Too close to call? No way! Please somebody…wake Marco up!
The campaign is a continuous book tour for Ben’s Half Baked Rice (cooked in a cracked pot)
Nate Silver has Trump’s chances of winning VA at 81-69%. I’ll stick with him until he is proven wrong.
