President Trump’s eldest son on Thursday said that he did not buy that Christine Blasey Ford could have flown on airplane trips multiple times despite her professed fear of flying.
“I’m no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying,” Donald Trump Jr. cracked on Twitter. “Can’t do it to testify but for vacation, well it’s not a problem at all.”
Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, initially wavered about coming to Washington, D.C. to testify about her account because of her aversion to air travel. Rachel Mitchell, the Arizona prosecutor Republicans hired to do their questioning, asked Ford at length about previous flights she’d taken.
I really do hope they try to make this a thing. Fear of flying is a very common thing, and people who have that fear still are able to fly but often try to avoid it if possible.
I can’t adequately express how much Jr’s whole being makes me ill.
A lot of people are afraid of flying, but they do it because they must.
Well, Little Donald, its kind of like you and your Dad’s selective inability to tell the truth. It comes and goes.
Roughly 25% of,people have a fear of flying. Yet, many of these people do. It is a complicated syndrome primarily based in fear and/or lack of control, etc.
Stupid line of questioning.
Can we ask Kavanaugh if he has a fear of drinking, blacking out, assaulting women and getting caught? I’m pretty convinced that less than 25% of Americans have this fear.
I’m no proctologist, either, but I still know an asshole when I see one.
