Paul Manafort, an aide to presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, said Sunday that former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was “jealous” of Trump’s success.

“I mean Governor Romney, uh, you know, is jealous of the fact that the first businessman to be nominated by the Republican Party with record numbers, uh, is Mr. Trump,” Manafort said on ABC News’ “This Week.”

Romney once railed against the prospect of Trump as the nominee, criticizing the real estate mogul’s business decisions and foreign policy. He has since quieted down his criticisms, but has vowed not to support Trump as the nominee.

“Romney had a chance to win it, he lost it,” Manafort said.
