With cat gifs as his arsenal, a Republican making a primary challenge to Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst (R) launched a website on Friday that mocked the incumbent in the style of a BuzzFeed listicle.

The listicle accused Dewhurst of showing a lack of leadership during Sen. Wendy Davis’ (D) marathon filibuster amid the state’s abortion bill showdown in June. One point on the list said a “liberal mob descended upon Dewhurst and he couldn’t keep control of the gallery.”

Longtime Texas journalist and editor-in-chief of the Texas Tribune Evan Smith described it on Twitter as “one of the weirder things I’ve seen in Texas politics — and, duh, that’s saying something.”
