Eventually healthcare.gov will be fixed but Obamacare will still be a flawed law, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued Thursday.

“It’s still a disaster. But eventually they’re gonna get it right. I mean it was a demonstration of manifest incompetence, but eventually they’ll get the website right,” Cruz said during a speech at an American Legislative Exchange Council event.

Cruz’s comments don’t mark an about-face of his opposition to Obamacare. Cruz said the problems with the healthcare law go beyond the website.

“And the problem with Obamacare was never the silly website,” Cruz said. “The problem with Obamacare is that it’s destroying jobs, it’s hurting the most vulnerable people among us and it’s absolutely destroying our healthcare system.”
