Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) congratulated GOP rival Donald Trump on his win in the Nevada caucuses, but said that his was the only campaign that could bring down the real estate mogul.
Preliminary projections weren’t able to call second and third place, which showed Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in a tight race.
Cruz told his group of supporters after the Tuesday caucuses results were still rolling in that historically no person has won the nomination without winning one of the first three primaries.
“And there are only two people who have won one of the first three primaries. Donald Trump and us,” Cruz said. “And the undeniable reality that the first four states have shown is that the only campaign that has beaten Donald Trump and the only campaign that can beat Donald Trump is this campaign.”
Ted, if you and your twin brother, Marco, were to merge back into one Senator, you would still lose to Mr. Trump.
I’m gonna watch his concession speech in slo-mo, just to savor it.
This is The Year of the Red Fire Monkey and by the looks of it he is a wild one.
And Hillary too, most likely…
which is why you are third in Nevada
