A shooting was reported at the library of Santa Monica College, in Santa Monica, Calif. on Friday, according to CBS:

Santa Monica police says they have a suspect down on the campus. It’s not clear if anyone has been injured.

A man was reportedly shooting at cars just after noon. According to reports, a worker on campus heard dozens of gunshots and saw students, who are taking final exams on the campus this week, scrambling for safety.

President Barack Obama is currently in Santa Monica for a pair of Democratic National Campaign fundraisers.

Update: Three people were wounded and the suspect was taken into custody, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Late update: “We are aware of the incident and it is not impacting the visit,” Secret Service Spokesman Edwin M. Donovan said in a statement, according to a White House pool report. “It’s a local police matter at this point.”
