After Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) dropped his objectedtion to the nomination of John Brennan as CIA director Thursday, an aide to Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that the Senate would hold two votes this afternoon. The first, at 3:15pm ET, would be to invoke cloture on the filibuster, proceeding to the final vote. Brennan is expected to be confirmed by a comfortable margin.
