The Secret Service said Wednesday it would conduct the “appropriate investigation” after an adviser to Donald Trump said Hillary Clinton should be shot for treason.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation,” Secret Service spokesman Shawn Holtzclaw said in an emailed statement.

New Hampshire state Rep. Al Baldasaro, who is a delegate for Trump and advises the businessman on veterans issues, said in a Tuesday radio interview that Clinton should face a firing squad over the Benghazi terror attacks.

“This whole thing disgusts me, Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason,” Baldasaro declared.

Baldasaro again repeated his line Wednesday during an interview with the conservative radio show “Liberty Roundtable” that was broadcast from the Republican National Convention.

“She should be in the firing squad. For treason,” Baldasaro said.

The Trump campaign was forced to walk back an interview Donald Trump Jr. gave on that same radio show earlier this year. Trump Jr. was interviewed by phone by guest James Edwards, a friend to former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and a white nationalist who hosts a show syndicated by Liberty News Radio. The campaign said it was unaware of Edwards’ beliefs.

Trump’s campaign spokeswoman told NH1 News that Baldasaro didn’t speak for the campaign.

“We’re incredibly grateful for his support, but we don’t agree with his comments,” spokeswoman Hope Hicks said.
