Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Sunday said he would be nervous about the looming sequestration deadline if he were in Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s (R) shoes.

McDonnell, Walker suggested, is an unenviable position given the Commonwealth’s large military presence, which could be adversely affected if a deal isn’t struck between the White House and Congress before Friday’s deadline.

“If I was the governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I’d probably be freaked out,” Walker said, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “But we don’t have big military bases (and) our military contractors have already started to account for this.”
