Schumer: Stimulus Should Be Part Of Grand Bargain

At a breakfast roundtable with reporters hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said members of Congress agree that payroll tax or something similar should be included in any 10-year deficit cutting legislation.

“Everyone agrees that there has to be some kind — that the economy is still moving slowly and we need some kind of stimulus and it’s certainly on the table that as a part of a grand bargain in the first year or second year there’d be some kind of stimulus,” he said.
