MSNBC host Joe Scarborough offered some advice to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night: Smile.
In reference to the former secretary of state’s speech after a night of primary wins, the “Morning Joe” host tweeted some commentary as she addressed a room of supporters:
Smile. You just had a big night. #PrimaryDay

Scarborough’s tweet received backlash on Twitter, where many interpreted his comment as a gendered insult toward Clinton, the only female candidate for president.
