Florida Sen. March Rubio signaled in an interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley that aired Sunday morning that he is taking a new approach to commenting on speculation about whether he’ll be Mitt Romney’s VP pick: He will no longer discuss it.

“Up to now, it’s all been theoretical,” Rubio explained, but now the party has a nominee who has begun the process of finding a running mate.  “Moving forward, we’re gonna let his process play itself out,” Rubio said.

Does Rubio hold by his position that he would turn down the spot if selected? “I’m not gonna even discuss the process anymore. I’m gonna be respectful of the process he’s put in place,” Rubio said. “The last thing he needs are those of us in the peanut gallery to be saying what we would or would not do.”
