At a campaign rally in South Carolina on Tuesday, a man in the audience shouted “waterboard Hillary” during Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) speech, according to numerous reports.
The crowd at the rally laughed following the remark, as did Rubio, according to Politico.
“I don’t want to know what he said,” Rubio then said in response, according to the Washington Post. “The press is here, I didn’t even hear what they — I didn’t hear what they said. I know it wasn’t a bad word, that’s all that matters.”
Time Magazine described the audience member’s comment as an “easily audible outburst.”
The rally attendee’s comment followed a remark by Rubio about the Guantanamo Bay prison.
“This is a message to the Cuban government and anyone who’s listening: We’re keeping Guantanamo — forever,” Rubio said, according to the Washington Post. “We’re keeping it forever. It’s a good base.”
Ah Rubio; the Sgt. Schultz of the Callous Clown Caucus.
While it’s not going to happen, I would love to see Hillary Clinton turn this little weasel into a puddle of flop-sweat in a one-one-one debate.
Oh, those wacky Rethuglicans. Always keepin’ it classy.
Well Donald was right about one thing, he is a liar. None of the leading Republicans seem to have any class at all or at least the sense to fake it in public.
But still “it wasn’t a bad word, that’s all that matters.”
