I checked in with Republican consultant Roger Stone, a longtime Donald Trump supporter, on just how the press ended up with multiple conflicting reports on whether Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney would receive his endorsement in Las Vegas on Thursday.

His explanation — blame it on Vegas news station KLAS-TV, which first “broke” the Newt news:

“A f–k up by a LV TV station who took the ‘confirmation’ of [an] un-named Nevada Gingrich campaign official which was then picked up by AP which was then picked up by NY Times and Politico.”
