Sen. Rand Paul plans to hosting will be hosting a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. for Republican Maryland congressional candidate Dan Bongino on Feb. 25.

Bongino announced plans for the “Evening With Senator Rand Paul” in an email to supporters Friday.

“We are working every day to take back Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, and we are honored to be joined in this effort by one of the leaders in the Conservative movement, Senator Rand Paul,” Bongino wrote. “Senator Paul has been one of the Senate’s strongest voices for limited government, civil liberties, fiscal rectitude and American values. We are excited to have his support.”

Bongino is a former Secret Service agent. He ran for Senate in Maryland in 2012 and lost to Sen. Ben Cardin (D) by nearly thirty percent.
