A protester demonstrating against violence in the Middle East briefly interrupted Sen. John Kerry’s (D-MA) secretary of state confirmation hearing Thursday. She was escorted out of the room shortly after speaking out.
“I respect, I think, the woman who was voicing her concerns about that part of the world,” Kerry said. “People measure what we do. In a way, that’s a good exclamation point to my testimony.”
