House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Sunday said that her position in the leadership depends entirely on her fellow Democrats in the House.

“That would be totally up to my members,” she said on CNN’s “State of the Union” when host Candy Crowley asked if Pelosi would want to be speaker if Democrats win the majority again.

“I actually did not necessarily want to be leader again, but they wanted me to be, so, here I am,” she added.

Pelosi also spoke about her experiences as prominent female public official. Crowley asked if she has experienced a double standard in terms of media coverage.

“Well, let me just say that as one who has, you know, been the speaker of the House, I’ve had to have a very thick skin about every kind of thing that was thrown at me,” Pelosi responded. “From my own standpoint, I never expected anything but a double standard.”
