Office Of Congressional Ethics Clears Rep. Michael Grimm

The Office of Congressional Ethics has ended its probe of Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY), Politico reports. Grimm’s fundraising activities had come under scrutiny, but OCE voted unanimously to close the case.

“I welcome the unanimous recommendation of the Office of Congressional Ethics to dismiss this matter, and respect the system in place to uphold the highest ethical standards for those who serve in Congress,” Grimm said

Last month, news reports said that the FBI had been questioning people in connection to the first-term congressman’s fundraising.
