President Barack Obama is slated to make his first campaign appearance with Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate in Virginia.

According to a report in Politico, Obama will appear at a McAuliffe rally on Sunday in Northern Virginia.

Obama will be the third high-profile Democrat to go to bat for McAuliffe in the late stage of the campaign, following appearances by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton this month.

The latest polls have shown McAuliffe with comfortable leads over Republican Ken Cuccinelli.
