Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to formally endorse Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe at a campaign event on Saturday, McAuliffe’s campaign announced Monday.

Clinton, who has previously campaigned for McAuliffe, will deliver the endorsement at a Women for Terry event at the State Theatre in Falls Church, Va.

Besides Clinton, state Democratic Party Chair Charniele Herring and Latinos Con Terry member Leni Gonazales are scheduled to be at the event.

McAuliffe is a close friend of Clinton’s and served as one of the chairman of her 2008 presidential campaign.

Clinton has previously fundraised for McAuliffe’s gubernatorial campaign.
