President Barack Obama was sworn in to his second term at a public inauguration ceremony on Monday, January 21, 2013. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath. President Obama was officially sworn in at a private ceremony on Sunday, January 20, as constitutionally required.
