Obama Discussed Sandy Relief With Christie Wednesday

President Obama and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) spoke Wednesday on the importance of Congress approving a relief package for victims of Hurricane Sandy. According to a senior Obama Administration official quoted in the White House pool report, the White House and Christie’s staff have been in “close contact” throughout the day.

Christie is scheduled to hold a press conference at 2 p.m. ET. A number of New York Republicans on Wednesday blasted House Speaker John Boehner and other Republicans for failing to act on the relief package.
