The New York Times Company said on Wednesday it is in talks to sell About.com, its online resource guide. The Times took a $195 million write-down on the company last month. All Things D reports that Answers.com has signed a letter of intent to buy About for $270 million. The Times in a statement urged that “no definitive agreement has been reached.”
