Republican strategist Nicolle Wallace is joining ABC’s daytime talk show “The View,” the network announced Wednesday.

Wallace and another newly announced co-host, actress Rosie Perez, will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rose O’Donnell on the talk show’s new season beginning Sept. 15.

Wallace formerly served as a spokeswoman for President George W. Bush and as an advisor to Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) 2008 presidential campaign. She appears regularly on “Morning Joe” as a political analyst for MSNBC.
